National
Cattle Dogs Finals 2001
In
April, 2001, Rural Route Videos headed south to Montgomery, Alabama for the
chance to film the first United States Border Collie Handlers Association (USBCHA) National
Cattle Dogs Finals.
Sixty handlers and
their cattle dogs had qualified for a chance to win this remarkable trophy. The
cattle dogs worked hard, with tough cattle and hot weather but they had a great
time.
The United States Border Collie Handlers Association (USBCHA) held their first
Cattle Dogs trial at Montgomery, Alabama with sponsorship from the American Border Collie
Association (ABCA) and Krasco.
Qualifiers from many parts of the US came to compete at this new event. This 2 hour video looks at the qualifying and semi finals and then gives a more in depth look at the final day of competition.
