“Starting Your Border Collie on Cattle, Sheep or Ducks” is the 3rd video that Rural Route Videos (RRV) have produced on training Border Collies. Rural Route Videos began with Starting a Border Collie in 1984, Training and Working a Border Collie in 1989 and finally Starting Your Border Collie on Cattle, Sheep or Ducks in 1996.
I became involved with Border Collies on my father’s farm when I was a teenager. At this time I was reduced to having to watch the shepherds rather than owning my own dog. It wasn’t until I left college and began working on a hill farm on the Black Mountains in South Wales that I bought my first Border Collie, a nine month old dog by the nine of Dan.
