Over the next three or four years I managed to continue developing this simple approach of using the Border Collie’s natural balance to train my dogs. A Border Collie’s natural balance is all about the Border Collie’s natural instinct to gather to the handler.
A well-bred Border Collie has this natural instinct to go out and bring back any specific stock to a handler. Driving away is always very awkward for a Border Collie because this is totally the opposite from what comes naturally. You may have already found this out.
