1. Much of the work of the International Sheep Dog Society, over the past 100 years, has been their work in helping to progress the working ability of the Border Collie. The names of great dogs that I mentioned in a previous paragraph have had much to do with this progress. These dogs have left a heritage of skills for today’s Border Collie handlers to benefit from. And not only today’s handlers, but handlers into the future will all benefit from the wise and prudent breeding programs that we have witnessed in the past. A well-bred Border Collie pup will prove to be a sound investment.
